SwimmingSA is pleased to announce the Norwood Swimming Club as the 2015/16 Club of the Year.
This award is judged by the Chairman and recognises the most successful club affiliated with SwimmingSA in the areas of Membership, Corporate Governance, Technical Officials, Athletes, Coaches and Community.
The club has worked hard to build a culture of fostering healthy competition, obtaining personal best times, independence and self-improvement. “We recognise our heritage and history, but equally understand we need to continually evolve as a club to ensure we remain relevant to our members and the community,” Norwood Swimming Club President, Scott Ireland said.
“The club’s committee, our coaches, swimmers, parents and supporters put in a lot of hard work to ensure we are an inclusive club that provides an environment for members to maximise their opportunities to achieve their goals and bring out the best in every member. Whether they are an eight year old competing in their first ever race or a swimmer aiming for National Selection, every swimmer and member matters.
